As a local and host, one of my absolute favorite mountain bike tours in the Zillertal is the ride from Gerlos into the Wildgerlostal.
This route takes you through the Hohe Tauern National Park, leading up to the material cableway of the Zittauer Hütte – a Bike & Hike adventure at its finest. The view of the towering rock formations and glaciated peaks of the Reichenspitze and Gabler is simply breathtaking.
At the top, pure relaxation and indulgence await at the Zittauer Hütte, offering one of the most spectacular mountain panoramas in the Zillertal. The Lower Gerlossee captivates with its idyllic scenery, while ambitious riders can experience magical moments at the Upper Gerlossee. A true highlight for those seeking adventure in the mountains!
